Get ready for the ultimate chess showdown! The Sri Lanka National Major Division Chess Championships 2025 are coming to Western Province. This event, open to both men and women, is a must-attend for serious chess players.
Event Details:
Dates: 10th, 11th, 13th & 17th 18th May 2025 (13th May - One Round)
Venue: Hindu College, Ratmalana (Borupana Road)
Eligibility: Players selected from the Sri Lanka National Novices Division Chess events 2025, ELO Rated players below 2000 (For Women 1700), and Players who played a Major Division/ National B/ National A event before this year. First Round Will be Start @ 8.30am (10th May 2025)

Entry Fee:
Rated Players - Rs. 1500/=
Unrated Players - Rs. 2000/=
Late Registration will be accepted only if space is available (Rs. 500/= will be charged as late fees)
Registration: On or Before 8th May 2025 @ 10.00pm
Prizes & Awards:
The winner will be awarded with the title of the Major Champion in the Region with a Trophy. Top three will get Gold Silver and Bronze Medals. 10 Certificate are issued 1st 20 players. one certificate each will be given to every ten additional players.
Rounds
The events will be held as Swiss System events of 7 to 9 Rounds according to the number of participants.
